Frank Fleer - Managing Director

Frank Fleer graduated in 1977, with an Honours Degree in Chemical Engineering from Monash University. Initial experience was gained as an Engineer in the pulp and paper, water and wastewater treatment and consulting environmental engineering industries. In 1982 he co-founded, and is current Managing Director of, A.W.N. (Air Water Noise) Consultants.


Atmospheric contaminant monitoring expertise, includes: ambient air; point and fugitive source emissions; workplace and indoor air. He is a Member of the Institution of Engineers Australia, a Full Member of the Australian Institute of Occupational Hygienists and is a certified Industrial Facilities Environmental Auditor under the Victorian Environment Protection Act.


Frank is a Past Federal President and Fellow of the Clean Air Society of Australia and New Zealand (CASANZ), and currently represents CASANZ on Standards Australia Committee EV/7, "Methods for the Examination of Air", and is Chairperson of Committee EV/7/1 "Stationary Source Emissions".


In 2002 Frank was presented with the Clean Air Medal, based on his efforts in increasing standards within the air quality consulting industry, in particular his work relating to industrial odour. The Clean Air Medal is the highest honour awarded in the air quality field in Australia and New Zealand.
