Dr. Helen Murphy - Senior Consultant, Victoria

Helen Murphy graduated in 1980 with a degree in Physical Science, majoring in Chemistry. Subsequent studies have included a MSc (Environmental Engineering), a Post-Graduate Diploma in Occupational Hygiene and a PhD in 2001, which assessed energy efficiency implementation within the automotive industry.


She is acknowledged for her expertise in the risk assessment of potential environmental and public health issues and has had extensive experience in both the public and private sector, with particular emphasis on the power generation sector.


She has undertaken over 200 industrial facilities audits with further experience in contaminated site assessments and remediation projects, environmental management systems and Greenhouse Challenge audits


She is an Environmental Auditor (Industrial Facilities) appointed pursuant the Victorian Environment Protection Act 1970, a Certified Industrial Hygienist under the American Board of Industrial Hygiene and is an Australian Greenhouse Office Appointed Auditor for Greenhouse Challenge.


Helen is also past Victorian President of the Clean Air Society of Australia and New Zealand and was instrumental in the establishment of the Greenhouse Special Interest Group and continues as the Chair of this working group.
